I've used Slic3r ever since. It's been recommended for a while.

This is new. Prusa edition.

Did you tried the Cura Slicer (not the plugin). That is very cool to.
It allows to simulate layer to layer and is has customizeable settings.

Everything is being rewritten into C++ and parallelization is being introduced to get more out of the modern computers.
Too funny.

If the data center I work at were to force this same concept, the applications could be housed in a computer room the size of my garage.  But you can't talk to the executives, they're way too smart to listen to guys that have been in the trenches 30+ years.  I say, "It's their money.  Let them spend it how they want."

Do I need to send you a donation?

As much printing as you do, it seems nuts to not have the best tools.

No don't do that...

If I ask I'm sure they would be happy to be a sponcer. It's like free advertising.

I just can't get my self to do it. That's a lot of $$  for a slicer.

But I guess I should try it for the 2 weeks and then if I like it reach out to see if they will do a sponcer. I'm almost sure they will

Hello Russ,

Thank you for considering Simplify3D. Unfortunately at this time we have finalized our marketing arrangements with people who are supporting us on YouTube.

We wish you the best of luck sharing helpful information to spread adoption of 3D printing!

Thanks,

Matt Matt,

Yeah i do and i would try it for 2 weeks but...

you have to pay for it and then if you dont like it... you get your money back.

i think thats kinda lame.

but ok...

so as of now i still sit here messing with other slicers lol .. i will say that anytime i use support with Slic3r t takes FORVER to slice. I mean like 4 hrs on one complex part.

and 30 min or so on a not so complex support.

i find this odd.

but ok...

any hoo,

it dose do others tings that i need for some stuff. so like any thing use one part of a software for the parts you need and others for others.

...

I have know idea if simplified 3d is any better or has all the options, but i think i dose. not sure till i try it i guess.
