Does anyone know how permeability/core structure affect the collapsing field of an inductor?

When you tune a stringed instrument you get the same thing. Peaks of your waveforms slightly out of tune heh heh... Yeah, frequency modulation.
Cool vids, love the generator! Keep up the great work.

Very nice Kevin, could that be oscillation of resonance, I can't wait to try that.
Nice work Kevin!!
I´m making my own now, it´s almost finished!!
Is it any problem if i use the same power supply for all the squematic?...can i use the alternator supply(14v) for driver circuit?
Thanks!!

Hey Muxar,

You can defiantly use 14V supply for both supplies, 5V system just wont be isolated. Just add a fuse before each regulator and you should be fine. Something like .5 - .7A fuse on the 5V side  The 7805 tends to get fairly hot. Even when I'm using a small cell phone charger. So maybe you could throw in a porcelain resistor before it to take some of the heat off??

As for voltage comming off a alternator im not sure how that would affect the system. but should be ok, i would think...

When you connect both 78xx reg to the same source there is a physical connection for back spikes to possibly enter and harm your system.

When there is a transformer on the 5V side this removes the physical connection.

HI Guys missed this thread, very nice,

as a summary can you

post gerber file format and final excel parts list

will start to build now .

Please read the first post. all the instructions/ pcb's/ and part lists are there. No gerber files, you need express pcb.

Enjoy and happy building :)

Hello
As a beginner it is not easy to project this WFG to understand. It took me several weeks to all components and schematics to understand because I think it's important to not blindly imitate something without understanding how it works.
The PCB Russtic is perfectly fine with the paper system. In my experience, I had best results with cheap glossy photo paper, it is important that the printer is set to print photos. The copper layer should best be rubbed off with a sponge so that the job-covered as little as possible come into contact with the acid.
The parts are nearly complete so that I can soon start assembling.
I made during my study russtic another component summary here attached. I think some others will have to.
Sorry about my english writing if there are errors, since I never did learn to write english I must unfortunately use the Google translation tool.
Greetings from Belgium.

hello Geert,

The translator seems to do the trick nicely!

this is a good help for the build!

hope your build goes easy!

Blessings!

Hi
Drilling the PCB has begun.
Annex A small update on the parts list with part numbers.
I have a problem, part C15 (.1 uF capacitor) I can not find it on the PCB and also could not place on the previous figure. Please check.

Found it! I had the wrong text in mirror misinterpreted (C12> C15). Here is the updated image.

Hey Geert,

Thanks for the help, that image will make things much easier for people.  Let me know if it is all correct and I will add it into the Instructions.

It would also be good to label the Drain (D) and Source (S) on Q1 and Q2. And Sw8 is missing label.

Thanks and Take Care,
Kevin

Hey Kevin
Glad I can contribute to your projects. SW8 was difficult to find because the label on the original PCB file is not listed, but with the "find" function this was quickly resolved.
I also rather difficult to get the right switch numbers into the parts list (excel).

Now, i think the labels are now complete, update in the Annex.

PS: soldering almost complete, I also had a problem with finding capacitors C17 and C20. This I have is quite a bit smaller (0.2 "Philips model space). I ask the shop first before proceed.

Blessings
Geert

Good work buddy. I have added the parts map to the instructions

C17 and C20 are not critically important, they are just filter caps.

Hello Kevin
I have the wired Russtic but I have some doubts about the zone with the output. I made a wiring diagram and would like a checkup. You wired, according to the pictures, one black and white wire to the two pins next to C23. I can not find where they go.
Annex on the schedule.
