Does John Hutchison ever post here in person?

Does he read this?

I've noticed that he has a very current presence on the net and places like this. I've even caught one of his videos at only 38 views, so he's "out there", not far away, not long ago. hmmm... maybe some "bait" is in order? Wish I had some.

That's an idea, I think I will if I get a chance. The problem is, I'm one of those rebels who refuses to sign up (again) for facebook and youtube. Without going into detail, suffice it to say that I don't like them. Sadly, it's gotten so that fb is about the only way to sign into various forums or comment blocks. I see him posting videos on yt, some very fresh, and I sometimes have input that might help him, but I refust to bow to yt (so I can't comment).

John was removed from YT, I'll see if Sterling can help.

You Tube said because of third party issues. Talked with Gary Hendershot from SSCS, as to inviting John to the forum, here's what he said.
I would not expect any response from Hutchison ... only way I know how to contact him is through his youtube channel ... my understanding is that he is not a "joiner" ... he is not the type who works well in a group ... tends to be a lone wolf ... but you are certainly welcome to try ...

This is kind of what I would have expected.  He says right out that he visualizes things in his head.  Things that are very difficult to explain in words.  I would imagine the only way to even begin to understand the guy would be to volunteer yourself to assist him--grunt work and all.  Maybe after enough time you would be able to figure what makes him tick, what kind of equipment he uses, things he likes to work on and so forth.  It might actually be easier to build you a time machine, go back in time and do the same with Tesla, not sure.

That makes sense. At best, he might be one of the many lurkers out there. I've just been noticing his more personal appeals for funding, thus the greater presence.

Being an assistant (even grunt work) would be a real hoot, wouldn't it? I'd be apprehensive to be near him though, because it would be like disturbing "god".

Don't think I haven't thought about it though. Problem is, particularly where material distortions go is, I have two metal plates in my arm. I'd be terified that they might suddenly "jellify" or merge with the bone or something!

But, I love building stuff.:D
