I came across this laser cutter:

It looks like it will handle up to 100 watt laser, which I think is not quite enough to cut thin steel sheet metal.  A CNC plasma cutter still looks like the cheaper option there.

This looks cool Nate. It would sure be cleaner than using a plasma cutter. But your right about the cost, the laser it's self would cost a bundle, then the life expectancy of a laser is iffy. That's one reason I went with plasma.:D
