With gas at room temperature, the mean speed of gas is 500m/s so with a radius of 1 m the rotational speed must be like 5000 r/min.

I'm not sure what is happening in your example. But about rotational ways of getting gas out of water i already follow a thread. Maybe the processes are similar?
