I found this and wanted to share this analysis.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y2fCOfwlLc
I think this is the easiest way to increase mpg.  I have been adding solor panels to my cars since I started traveling a lot.  My cars sit for weeks at a time and when I get back they start with no hesitation.  Not only are you saving fuel to drive your electrical systems while you drive but the recharge time from your computer and car stereo drainging the battery to save your settings.

My '09 Mazda has three 1.5 watt panels in the back dash with no charge controller.  My 89 VW has two 5 watt panels in the back dash and I just mounted a 20 watt panel to the trunk lid.  I haven't put the VW back on the road as of yet to test with the 20 watt.  Id like to add two more large panels on the roof.  All of that is mainly for solar HHO boosting.

We have all heard of people putting alternators on their bicycles and how they are hard to turn for the amount of power you get.  So imagine adding solar panels is like adding a team of bikes pulling your car hitched like horses!:D  K maybe if you like going slow.:P
