Short Circuit Overunity!!!
« on January 25th, 2012, 10:35 AM »
I have always wondered about short circuits and why we could actually see a reaction, heart and gut wrenching sparks which scared the life out of me lol, from the positive and negative terminals touching, while in a circuit where - is to - and + is to + U would not be able to tell that energy is flowing thru the circuit unless U used a measuring device. After coming across information about a certain device on this site which incorporated short-circuiting (link- http://open-source-energy.org/?tid=36&highlight=pmh >>>the post by fastimports3) I started to research what exactly is a short circuit and the definition that I found on wiki amounted to "this is overunity" (at-least to me it did :P )

WIKI definition states (and this is a quote)

"A short circuit is an abnormal low-resistance connection between two nodes of an electrical circuit that are meant to be at different voltages. This results in an excessive electric current (overcurrent) limited only by the Thévenin equivalent resistance of the rest of the network and potentially causes circuit damage, overheating, fire or explosion"

What do U people feel about this "excessive electric overcurrent"?

you know, it seems that this would make sense, in a strange way.

so if you think about it the idea of a superconductor.... its a dead short... :)

Good Luck! and play safe! ~Russ

That was indeed a very informative post and yes short circuits can be harmful if not treated in right way, so play safe.
