Wireless water?

If Tesla could have foreseen just how desperate and strategic water would become due to global warming,
maybe he might have focused his attention on "wireless" (well, pipeless) water  instead of wireless electricity.

Is it possible, for instance, to transmit a stream of OH- ions through the air and reconstitute them as water at the receiver?
Or maybe just a proton (H+) beam, to be recombined with local oxygen atoms to make the water?

But then, Tesla would probably have just been sabotaged by Veolia instead of JP Morgan.
