I am compelled to say, what a revelation, what fantastic work is going on (in sheds, kitchens etc.) I am stunned to think we have ways to deal with cancers etc. (Dr.H.Clark's work) and new ways to produce power (Stan's work etc.). I personally can't think of anything more important or more exciting. In a way, I feel the investigations done are as significant as the scientists gone before us.

Externally, we seem to be living in strange times, faux wars, financial problems, dumbing down, toxic foods and so on. But thanks to everyone in a community like this, we are all trying home-brew fixes, doing it for ourselves and free from the powers-that-be.

Yippee! :D

I don't know how you feel about it.

It is a blessing that people are coming together. I think it became a necessity out of pure bitterness towards all the problems your describing.  Rather than get mad at the people that get paid to solve (cause?) these problems, i think people find that trusting in their own work gets you farther down the road.  To me, that is what independence really means, and the true meaning has been lost through politics over the years.

Well said.  I feel there has been a change in people as a whole over the last few years from sheeple to at least sheeple wondering why things aren't better and a few breaking out and working on things.

It sounds cheesy, and I can't remember where I read it but we need to be the change we want to see in the world, because if we don't do it. . .who will.  So thanks for all the work everyone on here!!

The way I feel is not that we have a problem in our governments, it's that the whole system just fails to do what it was intended to.  I think lateral thinking is going to be the status quo for the next hundred years. . very few people in the world are happy, and thank god, everyone is waking up and realizing nobody will produce the change if they don't do it themselves.
