Just want to say thanks for becoming a valuable member here.

Feel free to share your research and smoke out any noise (even mine) that is not helping your effort.

Thanks Matt!

Feels good to have a place to put my thoughts, my work, and to keep it together, without distractions.
I will have to find out how this all works, but it can be that hard (moderation).

Yes, I use this forum like a journal or diary all the time (almost 4000 posts now).  Things I can't remember are in here someplace and when I do remember, it's usually because of a comment someone else made, which takes me right to it.

untill now I have kept a journal (260 pages) but its a word document, this workbench seems easier to structure into categories. very nice to have it!
The only thing I wonder is, how is this site funded? What if it goes offline, will I have a backup?

I should probably let Russ answer that, but I can tell you this much, if Russ and haxar can't keep it going, I'll buy them out and keep it alive as long as I can.

haxar does routine backups, so the information won't be lost.  The site itself is running Wedge which anyone can pull from GIT and stand back up fairly easily, even a local (off the Internet) server if necessary.

As a sysadmin, I have backups, and backed up every day.

The site is funded through Russ. You can contribute financially here:

The server per month is $20. The domain names are $15 each year. You can conveniently let him know how the funds should be proportioned.
