i worked in calcining barium carbonate allown with others to make bsct it also changed collor to light yellow and the titanate was darker after cooking at 1500c

probably its black because you changed the cristal structure... you must find literature about this....
i have here a teacher who explained most and let me used the stuf there.. in the library you will find a lot of good examples also on papers online.. you need to make access for geting them for free...

yeah i plan on doing XRD to see if the structure changed or not.

i did SEM-EDX on this Zeolite, see the results here:

i did this me self using the SEM at UCLA, will need to make a video on it. took some footage. but its not that great.
