The Principle & My Silly Thoughts
Okay so last night I was listening to Talk Radio, Coast to Coast AM http://www.coasttocoastam.com/ with a guy named Rick Delano talking about a movie he has out called the "The Principle" http://www.theprinciplemovie.com/ . He points out that there is no scientific proof that the Earth goes around the Sun. I say what! this guy must be wrong, right! I mean everyone knows the Earth goes around the Sun it has been proven, but then I think well has it?
According to him no one has ever proved this. Well I'm certainly not smart enough to know if it has or if there is even any way to prove it. Except for what I see moving in the sky I can not tell the ball we are on is spinning or that this ball is spinning around the Sun and that this Solar system is spinning around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy and all this is moving around in the Universe. Wow! hope I got that right. :)
I remember Copernicus from school days and I'm sure many others do also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolaus_Copernicus he proved it, didn't he ? Well I don't know I thought he did but was it just a mathematical theory, I mean according to Einstein's theory everything is relative, right? If you are inside a rocket ship shooting through outer space then it appears you are stopped and the Universe is flying by you, right!
So is it possible the Earth is the center of the Universe and everything is spinning around it ? Well I'm not sure but it does seem to me it could be possible. Ok so how would this work ? The Earth is not spinning the Moon is spinning around the Earth, all the rest of the planets in our solar system are spinning around the Sun and the Sun plus our solar system and all the rest of the Universe are spinning around the Earth. Seem far fetched? Well maybe. Can math or an experiment prove one way or the other? According to him no one has so far.
Ok so the diameter of the observable universe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observable_universe is about 93 billion light-years and the radius is about 46.5 billion light-years, that means no matter what direction we look the edge of the universe is about 46.5 billion light-years away. That also means "wait for it " the Earth is exactly in the center of the "observable universe", I think it also means the Earth is the place where the Big Bang took place, right? I mean if a Big Bang took place then everything expanded from that single spot and the Earth is exactly in the center of the observable universe then the Big Bang must of took place here, right ?
I know, I know what some will say, that is just the "observable universe" and doesn't mean the Big Bang took place here at Earth. But sticking true to the scientific method if they can not prove we are "not" at the center of the universe then as far as anyone knows we are at the center. According to them in the beginning there was nothing and pop like a firecracker everything in the universe came into existence. So everyone "Welcome to the center of the Observable Universe". :)
The Universe versus the observable universe. They say the real universe may be much larger and given enough time more of the real universe will come into view, but unless we can live a very long time or travel many light-years of distance we will never know.
Hope I get a chance to watch this movie and if anyone does get a chance please check in here and let us know what you thought of it.
