well. IMO that footage was rolled backwards. speeding it up...

Yes, you can really only use videos like these for ideas.  Can't take any of them to the bank until you've tried them yourself.

BTW Russ, here's a link to that Wesley Gary Motor I was talking about:

Kind of a simple teeter-todder thing that uses the neutral zone to keep it constantly in motion.  Seriously, this should be a required "toy" for young kinds to play with, especially in a physics class.  It's the kind of thing you could master and print with your 3DP setup and hand-out at conferences, kind of like your levitater.
