Description: by "Lidmotor"
This is my Mini Tesla coil with a 110 volt LED blub placed on top of the coil as the top load. The bulb is un-modified. It is running here on a standard 9 volt battery but it will also run on 6 volts. I also show how other bulbs may be lit up at the same time. The amp draw on this is high---about 170 mA but you get what you pay for. It makes is a nice light for the dinner table and is a good conversation piece when you light up all the other lights---wirelessly.

Hello Kevin,

thanks for your video and post.
Is it possible to power anything different, like a little motor or a little speaker?

John.

I,m not sure what the specs are on Lidmotors coil.

But one I like to use is 14x3 inches with 28awg magnet wire.
With a 9 turn pancake coil of 22awg plastic coated wire for primary coil.
The L3 coil is 16x3 23awg magnet wire.
You don't have to use an L3 coil but it will help with tunning.

Here is a video of it running off 1.5v battery.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uJl89Cvxxs&list=UUu5aMQt_fDsayuhUKueE9Ig&index=6&feature=plcp

Here is also another video showing the circuit.

For more power output replace the led with a pancake coil just like the L2 coil.
