I dont know if ive got the time to get involved with this one too but i have got a 150mm iron powder core somewhere, dont know if it will cut in half without falling apart. I got it off someone who'd had a go at the bob boyce circuit but never managed to stump up the cash to make the box. I'd always figured id find something to do with it. Ill have to watch that vid a few more times as im a bit unclear how it goes together.

those are ferrite cores off a TV Yoke. there FREE! everywhere! just like the magnet wire! :)

there formed as one and then cracked so they fit back together with no loss in magnetic coupling...
