A Plea for Intolerance
"Archbishop Fulton J. Sheenby Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (published in 1931) -
America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance. It is not. It is suffering from tolerance: tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broad-minded. The man who can make up his mind in an orderly way, as a man might make up his bed, is called a bigot; but a man who cannot make up his mind, any more than he can make up for lost time, is called tolerant and broad-minded.

A bigoted man is one who refuses to accept a reason for anything; a broad-minded man is one who will accept anything for a reason—providing it is not a good reason. It is true that there is a demand for precision, exactness, and definiteness, but it is only for precision in scientific measurement, not in logic. The breakdown that has produced this natural broad-mindedness is mental, not moral. The evidence for this statement is threefold: the tendency to settle issues not by arguments but by words, the unqualified willingness to accept the authority of anyone on the subject of religion, and lastly the love of novelty."

"Our country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broad-minded."
"minds so flattened with broadness that they have lost all their depth."
"Tolerance applies only to persons, but never to truth."
"Right is right if nobody is right, and wrong is wrong if everybody is wrong."

I guess I am intolerant to adegree.
But everything also to moderation since too extreme in one way or the other will push for atheism to be too cold to the pain people feel, or too warm to how immoral people feel.

i dont know about this,
Well in other words is if you are tolerate of everything then its bad since you are good to bad and good.
If one tolerates a robber that robbed their friend then they will no longer have a friend, since to tolerate means to be stupid when one can not decided what is right and wrong.
Tolerate is another words to see good & bad as equal = can't decided = stupid

Intolerant to say what is good and natural is good= evil
Bad enough doing bad is seen as honorable like the robber barons how they are praised on TV or role models to emulate.

As for your video A lot of videos make solid statements that sound solid as a rock but too many solid evidenced contradict with each other and when you take 3 solid rocks and bad the together one or both break. well that's my opinion.

Happy New Year

wow so many typos from me lol... been delirious from a cold and trying to think straight. But then again I have typos most of the time since I think a million thing and I cant type as fast as I think so it sometimes all comes out jumbled. lol

Even my reply did not have consistency to mix sarcasm with facts which some might not get it. Maybe you can make a post and I bet more will see it and understand it. Plagiarism is acceptable even if you don't give credit lol It is just bad when people try to take full credit.

But in short modern society is pushing for tolerance which is to accept stupidity as good, and intolerance which is to not accept natural as good.

Edit to add what Watts stated.
The Pope, The author of the article is Catholics but I can't stand the pope sorry to say and I should leave it to that since some might get pissed. But seriously how can a pope say sorry for stealing your stuff and say he wont return the stuff? It is like a cop catches a robber that stole million and the robber admits yeah I stole it and I am sorry but I will keep the stolen good since hey I did say sorry. The Pope contradicts with honest priests, with each other, and with what Christianity started off. If it was not for the crusades the catholic church would not have existed since they grew in power by only keeping the Original Christian Churches down. The church of Rome was kicked out from the head churches since it decided it was above the rest despite Christ said no one is infallible and every Apostle is equal.

People seem to go with the flow, without thinking about it. As if watching a movie to be in a docile state to be influenced, which hardens and distracts people from working out critical thinking. Hey it happens to all of us and we all have to try to work out every way and take it easy. Use it or lose it.
