From the pictures it appears they are using a plasma torch to lay down the metal.  Looks like you better get your table fired up and see what tweak you need to make.  ;-)

I had a deja vu moment thinking that I couldn't make strong enough plastic gears for some project I was working on, then a package shows up at my door with 3D printed metal gears inside.  hehe.

That's not a plasma torch BTW, that's the head of MIG welder.  That's how they are laying down metal--wire feed MIG.  Bet with some good shielding gas, they could make some really fine looking prints.  I watched a really good welder make a custom bolt with his MIG welder once, so I know it can be done.

Looks to be a fairly simple build, I have two mig welders, have the CNC table, but have so many projects going right now, need to finish a few before I start another. Think I will see light at the end of the tunnel by the end of the mouth.
3d printed metal gears you say, :D hum.:P:P:P

This concept will take time I will stick to cnc milling and wire edm for the time being just because of the part finish quality
