I recently viewed a series of walkthroughs of tunnels under the great pyramids (yes, there's tunnel networks under all pyramids)

They have chambers with notches cut on one end... would remind me of tesla's motionless valve... (think someone had a 3d printed one of those? :) )

the tunnels and wells/chambers also have a strong acoustic resonance....
It'd be interesting to make a model with just the indentations at each section, and see if maybe it's actually a flow encourager... each set should divert the water into opposing vortexes, which would compress and feed the next chamber?
