Is that something we could build?

These guys claim an order of magnitude efficiency increase which coupled with a generator should be able to self-loop.

I know they would never license their technology to the hobbyist experimenter, but maybe we can reverse engineer it if we get enough clues.  Pulse Motor Build-off 2014 anyone?

Looks like you can go the other direction pretty easily too.

Take a few typical motors around the house and work the numbers.  They will be nowhere near what Ken is getting with his motor.  Pretty amazing if you ask me.  Six Watts of power to get 41 pound-feet of torque.  Wow!
