If you are interesting in crowd funding and dream of the chance to work on what it is your really want to do. Go have a look at this Indiegogo campaign:
http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/mailpile-taking-e-mail-back/
This is a very successful campaign and why? They hit all their numbers? Pushed all the right buttons? What it is about this one where so many others have failed?
These are some of the reasons, but in the end, you'll be able to get what they produce without donating a single penny. Kind of reminds me of the eBay auctions that open for dollar--that's how confident they are. And yeah, I'd bet my own money they will deliver what they said they would and on-time, even with the funky hair.
Anyway, just wanted to share this with y'all. It's worth understanding, especially if you'd rather be working for yourself as your own boss instead of someone else.
