So guys, I've watched Eric's lecture and his presentation on the Smart Scarecrow show and to be quite honest, I cannot see what it is everyone gets so hyped-up about this guy.  Can someone out there fill me in on what I must be missing?

Interesting to see that he says in his video from 1996 that longitudinal wave transmission (IIRC) is propagating at pi/2 times over the speed of light.
