In Memory of Mr. Max Miller — IRONDMAX / Iron Dragon
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Mr. Max Miller, known to many as IRONDMAX (Iron Dragon), has passed away a few days ago from natural causes following some health challenges.
Max dedicated an extraordinary part of his life to studying, replicating, and preserving the pioneering work of Stanley A. Meyer. Through tireless experimentation, collaboration, and public discussion, he became one of the most respected figures in the open-source hydrogen research community.
His contributions — both online and offline — remain well-documented across forums, video platforms, and blogs. A simple search for “irondmax” or “Max Miller” reveals the depth of his legacy, interviews, and countless technical discussions that continue to inspire researchers and enthusiasts worldwide.
Among Max’s most notable achievements were his successful replications of key Stanley Meyer systems, including the 9XA, 9XB, 9XD VIC (Version 1), LED boards, and EPG boards. Working with small, dedicated teams, Max helped rediscover, rebuild, and openly share these systems for future generations.
He also played a crucial role in revisiting the Hermann Anderson Cell and various hydrogen-powered car projects — helping ensure this important body of knowledge was not lost. Thousands of hours spent debating, analyzing, and refining complex details on public forums resulted in an invaluable open-source archive that continues to guide the field today.
Supported by Ed Frank, Frank Sullivan (also sadly passed), and many others across Europe and around the world, Max helped distribute and study numerous Meyer components. While some releases came under pressure from investors who wanted exclusivity, Max consistently fought for an open-source model — ensuring that Meyer’s discoveries would remain decentralized and freely available Max struggled with being open source often holding back until forced to release items by people who invested , but ultimately only open source can preserve the work which greed has stopped for 200 years,
Max was a familiar face at RWG forums and international conferences, where he constantly challenged others to think deeper and push further. His persistence, generosity, and vision have left a permanent mark on the hydrogen research community.
God bless and God speed, Max.
Your work lives on through everyone you inspired.
Suggest you all download all videos and documents and parts
re share them and save them also off line where you can find them
