This is a fork of this thread: Understanding SM Driver Circuit, Building A Test Driver Voltage control Board

The goal is to compile a list of people interested in getting a shiny new VIC v5 driver board, designed by Matt Watts. I've checked with him and he would need an exact number to order for people who are genuinly interested.

According to Matt, the price range of the board itself would be around $15. Price range of the components on Mouser is around $54. The BOM list, which Matt posted in the parent thread is extremely handy to order the correct components.

From what Matt mentioned and I've read on the parent thread, the list of people so far:
1. Merc
2. HMS-776
3. Daniel (securesupplies)
4. Henne

If you also would like to order one of these boards. Reply to this thread and simply add your name to the list. Cut-off date is end of March 2017, so please reply before that time. ;)

Yes, I'm going to pressure folks a little.

Thirty days after I mail out the boards, I want to see at least a picture posted here with your populated board, hooked up and generating some signals.  Slackers get a solid  :thumbdown:

A great thanks to you Matt for a great effort.

The BOM has a total of 42 lines.

Attached is a separate pending order totaled for 3 boards, for Russ and I. With extras for experimenting.

Deadline is close. Looks nobody is that interested.

Much cheaper overall if you can managed to order parts in at least blocks of ten.

Maybe we need a grab-bag of parts, take what you need to build your board and pass it on...

Here's another line for the gate jumper:

This line in the BOM is confusing:

The pin pitch should be 2.54mm or 0.1in for the jumper. Looking for a replacement...

Here's a replacement line for the breakaway 40-pin single-row header, with the right pin pitch:

I thought I had the header pins right, but I did forget the jumper because I have them stupid things everywhere.

I should order a couple of boards just in case I make one let the magic smoke out of the board.

I updated the VIC-Driver-BOM list with an extra line for the gate jumper (Quantity set to 2). Also modified the line for the 40-pin header, as haxar suggested. See attachment.

I am thinking two boards. Like I said just in case I let the magic smoke out of one by a mistake while testing things then I have a spare to continue with while I repair the first one

I would also need jumpers and other hardware. Let me know what all is needed for compensation

I'll commit to two boards thanks Henne.

Just as an option.
If someone here does not have ability to solder in a board. I would build a board for someone else if they ask me to.
If I am building two I could build some for others. Just throwing that out there.

Good call on ordering 2 boards, Merc. Indeed practical if one breaks down or for helping out a friend. Very kind of you to offer to build for others.
