here  is the link to my video  http://youtu.be/8cwRd8htQeQ

Well I worked up to the last hour but in the end was done in by some shorts, a switch and some dying batteries so shes a no go. Had a good time ran through the whole range of emotions. I have been doing nothing but thinking and working on this thing for 3 weeks, my friends wonder where I am and what I am up too. They just don't get it when I tell them that I have been busy working on a pulse motor for the pulse motor 2013 contest.... they look at me like I hit my head.
had a good time, I can honestly say I have never put so much passion and heart and sole into anything for so long as I have this these past 3 weeks I feel physically and emotionally drained but that just means I gave it my all.
Thanks Brad and Russ it was good.
To the winners congratulations you deserve it.
Sincerely
Bob
I agree I think this one drained me a lot too.  It was worth the experience.  I'm sure my neighbors where turning their noses up at my lawn though.  Gotta have priorities right? :D

Thanks Jim,
I wish I could of included every part of my idea on this one.. Turns out I should of probably simplified it more. lol

Just threw this one together this afternoon.....
How do the hall effect switch fire the coils, do you have a schematic for it?
That's some speed you get there, impressive!
It's an old schematic I used on my orbo replications. Just a mosfet irf1405 and a PN100 transistor and a couple of resistors. I have had it fly apart a few times :) Lost a few NEOs somewhere in the shed.

greetings all, i enjoyed watching all the motors, and will be looking back over them again. thanks Russ all the mods, and all the faces who built motors.
for me i cant be so lucky as to participate, but would have like to build a motor also.

so thanks all and gratz to winners.

im thinking of putting up a prize money for home depot  to a winner, any one who is interested enough to participate.to design my concept.

I am interested in building a solar array to my specs but you may also be original highest out put per square foot..and notability as being portable.. I will give the winner of the design a prize, and half all royalty's. also if your serious to try this project others may donate gifts in return to own one of these arrays..

gratz all. :D:D

Hello everybody my name is Michael Labib I am from Egypt and I was planning to enter this wonderful competition but couldn’t do so on time but I did build most of my engine so I thought maybe I can share it with you anyway.
MY design consists of two main parts a Tesla turbine and a vortex tube or as some call it ranque hilsh tube. One side of the turbine shaft will be coupled with the cold side of the vortex tube the shaft won’t be in direct contact with the vortex tube itself but rather to the vortex of gas exiting from the cold side which will cause it to rotate and exit from the turbine outlet back to the compression chamber to be mixed again with the hot stream exiting from the hot side.
Now to the gas I was thinking to use a Hydrogen and Freon mixture as a working fluid so the Hydrogen will expand due to the spark from the spark plug and the Freon will expand due to the heat generated due to the separation that will take place in the vortex tube.
I used hard drive platters as a rotor for the turbine and I used a gas cartridge from a life vest to drill a hole in it and install a spark plug the assembly works very well on compressed air but I don’t know it will actually work as I hope. I made a simple diagram to give you an idea of what I am talking about and I will try to make a video later of the actual parts.

Very cool Michael, interested to see the completed experiment, please do continue. Always good to see someone in another part of the world looking/working for/toward the betterment of mankind, thanks.:D:P
