I didn't intend it to look like an advertisment and it  wasn't "my" auction...just a place to find the device I was referencing. 

I really don't have much input on your area of work, just noticed you mentioned the voltage limits - so I posted the IXFH series with higher voltage ability.
(just saying I will keep to myself, lol)

I spent some hours tuning the chair. I found a setting that is feeling so amazing.
 It was as if I took some drugs, and melted away.
 listening to the music, I became soft, and silent. really special
 
I used a lot of capacitance to tune it like this.  110nF on L2 and 25nF on L3
the voltage on L3 was only 630V peak to peak (I had it 1900V before)
input power is only  9.7V DC with around 0,75 amps (7.3W)
at 42.00kHz

The more capacitance there is the more magnetic field there is, but less voltage. So more female energy, less male energy.

The chair is able to get bigger coils. I might make them bigger so they have more capacitance and inductance. this makes them easier to tune down, with less added capacitance.

In the end, the voltage determines how dense the field energy in the coils are.
And my impulse is limited to around 500V as I use a IRFP460 for the chair circuit. So I can't crack up the voltage any higher.

I could slow the impulse a bit down. its now around 700nS in duration.
If I add 500pF parallel over L1 I probably will have a 1uS duartion of the impulse, this lowers the impulse voltage, so I can crank up the power a bit more.

But for now, I will leave this setting, as it feels so very very good.
