"Standard" Water Cell?
I was thinking that a standard cell configuration could help unite all the data collected. Maybe a pair of SS electrical wall plates "Smack type" cell or a single tube cell with consistant dimentions. This way when one of us makes a discovery it should be quicker to duplicate.

dan, your right, so we should stick to something standers and then post data. here is the dimensions of s'tans cell. can we not use it? seems that a lot of people are already on there way to using it?

just the tube set... the housing can be anything.

and the wall thickness on stans original was .030" but the standard is .028. so that's what i have in the drawing.

also see here:

the drawings for the tubes really is all we need for now. and just use the single test cell for data comparing?

but yes, you are correct. we need to all get the same thing to test on to speed up feed back and move forward faster!

RE: "Standard" Water Cell?
Is there an easy way to cut the slots?

The center electrode is filled with?

Do you think Meyers' was tring to insulate the outside of the outer tube?

i did once drill them out and i don't know if that's a factor or not.. but with out a mill... hack saw and a dremel? a local machine shop would do it... not sure the cost? i would love to supply these tube sets mabby one day soon i can set that up...

this may affect tuning, so that may be really important or not...when we get to the point of testing we can try different tubes out and then we will know... time will tell... we are getting there but not yet...

its a 1/2" solid stainless steal rod, it has been drilled out on the end, then the slots cut.

good question. insulate it from water... i would say yes. insulate it from being exposed... i don't know. if there is water around it and the ends caps are also exposed the the same " bath" of water yes. this is bad. you will have "amp leakage" you don't want that.

good questions. we have the hardware, we are lacking the electronics... but that's coming...
